BoomCast provides SMS services in Bangladesh, including masking and non-masking SMS. COD King allows you to connect your BoomCast account and use it to send SMS notifications to your customers. This guide explains how to prepare your BoomCast account, obtain the required credentials, configure your masking, connect BoomCast to COD King, and test the SMS integration.
Note: SMS charges are billed directly by BoomCast according to their pricing. Your COD King subscription is separate.

Requirements

Before you begin, make sure you have:
  • An active BoomCast account
  • A valid Bangladesh mobile number for registration and verification
  • Your BoomCast Username
  • Your BoomCast Password
  • An approved Masking name
  • Access to Local SMS Operators in COD King

Step 1: Create a BoomCast Account

Create an account through the official BoomCast website and complete the registration process. Provide the required account and business information and complete any verification required by BoomCast.
Important: BoomCast registration may require a valid Bangladesh mobile number for account verification.
If you cannot complete registration because you do not have a Bangladesh mobile number, contact BoomCast Contact and Support to confirm the available registration options for your business.

Step 2: Log in to Your BoomCast Account

After completing registration and verification, log in to your BoomCast account. From the BoomCast dashboard, you can manage your SMS services, account information, SMS packages, masking, and other available features.

Step 3: Get Your BoomCast Credentials

Your BoomCast credentials are required to connect the service with COD King. You will need:
  • Username — Your BoomCast account username.
  • Password — The password/API credential associated with your BoomCast SMS service.
The official BoomCast SMS API documentation identifies the Username and Password as required parameters for sending SMS through the API.
Important: Keep your BoomCast credentials private and do not share them publicly.

Step 4: Register Your Masking

BoomCast supports Masking SMS, where an approved sender name can be displayed as the SMS sender. Register the masking name you want to use for your business through your BoomCast account. The official BoomCast SMS API documentation specifies that the masking value is mandatory and supports a maximum of 10 characters. For additional information about sending SMS through BoomCast, refer to the official BoomCast SMS documentation.
Important: Use only a masking name that has been registered and approved for your BoomCast account.

Step 5: Verify Your BoomCast Account

Before connecting BoomCast to COD King, make sure your account is ready to send SMS. Verify that:
  • Your BoomCast account is active.
  • Your Username is correct.
  • Your Password/API credential is available.
  • Your Masking has been approved.
  • Your BoomCast account has sufficient SMS balance or an active SMS package.

Step 6: Open COD King

Log in to your Shopify admin and open COD King. Go to: COD King → Local SMS Operators From the Network Provider dropdown, select: BoomCast (Bangladesh)

Step 7: Enter Your BoomCast Credentials

Enter the credentials obtained from your BoomCast account. The Masking field is case-sensitive, so enter the masking exactly as it is registered with BoomCast.

Step 8: Save the Configuration

After entering the BoomCast credentials, save the operator configuration in COD King. Before testing the integration, verify that:
  • The Username is correct.
  • The Password/API credential is correct.
  • The Masking matches your approved BoomCast masking.
  • Your BoomCast account has sufficient SMS balance.

Step 9: Test Your Integration

After saving the operator configuration, go to the Test Your Integration section in COD King. Enter a valid phone number with the country code. For example, a Bangladesh number can be entered in international format such as +8801712345678. Click Send Test SMS to send a test message to the entered phone number. Check the recipient’s phone to confirm that the test SMS was delivered successfully. If the SMS is delivered successfully, your BoomCast SMS integration is configured correctly and ready to use.

Testing Tips

  • Ensure your operator credentials are saved before testing.
  • Use a valid phone number with the country code.
  • Make sure the Username and Password/API credential are correct.
  • Verify that the Masking matches your approved BoomCast masking.
  • Check your BoomCast account balance if the test message fails.

Manage Your Integration

After configuring BoomCast, you can manage the SMS integration from the Local SMS Operators section in COD King. You can:
  • Update your BoomCast Username when required.
  • Update your BoomCast Password/API credential when required.
  • Update the Masking when your approved sender name changes.
  • Test SMS delivery using the COD King test option.
  • Manage your SMS balance and packages directly through BoomCast.

SMS API Information

BoomCast provides an SMS API for sending messages through its platform. The official BoomCast SMS API documentation defines the following parameters: The BoomCast SMS API supports both GET and POST requests. The API documentation specifies a maximum message length of 459 characters and requires the receiver number for each SMS request.

SMS Message Types

BoomCast supports different message types depending on the content of the SMS. Use:
  • TEXT for English messages.
  • UNICODE for messages containing other languages or characters requiring Unicode encoding.
The appropriate message type should be used when submitting the SMS through the BoomCast API.

SMS Response

After an SMS request is submitted, BoomCast returns a response indicating whether the message was successfully submitted. A successful response can include information such as:
  • Message ID
  • Job ID
  • Recipient number
  • Submission status
If the request fails, BoomCast returns a failure response. This information can help identify problems with SMS submission and troubleshoot API-related issues.

Troubleshooting

If the test SMS fails, check the following:
  1. Verify that the Username is correct.
  2. Verify that the Password/API credential is correct.
  3. Confirm that the Masking matches the approved BoomCast masking.
  4. Make sure your BoomCast account has sufficient SMS balance.
  5. Make sure the recipient phone number includes the country code.
  6. Verify that your BoomCast account is active.

Once your BoomCast account is active, your Username and Password/API credential are available, and your Masking has been approved, configure the provider in: COD King → Local SMS Operators → BoomCast (Bangladesh) Enter your Username, Password, and Masking, then save the configuration. Finally, use Test Your Integration to send a test SMS. If the test SMS is delivered successfully, your BoomCast integration is ready to send SMS notifications to your customers.
